Total Air & Heat has been doing business right since 1957, when Fred Lauten founded
the company. It has grown to one of the larger air conditioning and heating companies
in the Collin County area, but has not grown so big that they have lost focus on
what is important…their clients. Steve Lauten, Fred’s son took over when Fred retired in 1999
and has continued the family tradition of excellence. Now Steve’s son is being
groomed to take the company into the third generation.

residential and commercial and have the resources to get to your home quickly and
consistently makes sure their technicians are trained on all the latest technology.
Each employee is highly skilled, NATE Certified, and attend a minimum of two manufacturer’s training
schools every year. They have won awards, were voted Best Heat & Air Contractor in Collin County 15 times by the readers of Star Community Newspapers, and are an A+ accredited member of the
Better Business Bureau. They have great reviews on the review sites and you can
easily see that their clients love them and use them for all of their air conditioning
and heating needs. Steve serves on the ACCA National Board of Directors-Executive Board as Secretary/Treasurer. In addition to their
deep association in their industry, Total Air and Heat also has a heart for giving and Steve is actually on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity.
